FICO WORLD: MAKING A GLOBAL EVENT TRULY GLOBAL

Background

FICO wanted to build a buzz around the event, making a splash on Twitter and LinkedIn. They wanted to bring the issues covered alive.

To do this meant near real-time coverage of this prestigious 4 day conference in San Diego for daily, global distribution across social media, and screening to the delegates each morning.

The Brief

Predictive Analytics is getting everyone excited, and it’s not the usual geeks you’d expect. The science of predicting consumer behaviour is at the centre of every business today.

Once every 18 months FICO bring delegates from around the world together to share ideas and hear about the latest innovations in this ground-breaking field.

What we did

To capture the development of the conference over four days, we worked out stories, scheduled key filming points and used a roaming film crew, with the help of the lovely Lori Teranishi who helped set the scene and put contributors at ease.

To deliver such a tight schedule we worked out an efficient workflow so that media could be transferred from camera to edit to client approval within 2 hours. This strictly managed delivery schedule allowed films to be viewed, approved and uploaded to Twitter (and their Twitter wall) throughout the day.. and night.

Outcome

We delivered a total of 35 videos over three days, on schedule and beyond the client’s expectations.

We produced 3 daily opening-session films updating delegates on the previous day’s events.

As a result of our widespread social media coverage, FICO was shown to be an important and enlightened company on the global landscape.

Our relationship with FICO continues to grow to this day with Cloud Nine Media as their preferred supplier for client-based films, conference coverage and new / re-purposed content for social media.
